Where Silence Becomes Poetry
Poetry is born in silence and contains its own music embedded within it. When I write, it is as if I am catching the subtle sounds from a very faint level of awareness. The words form themselves like vestiges of clouds shaping patterns in a clear sky. I have only to be still to pen down the sounds that pulsate in the transcendental, hidden dimensions of my being. The process is very blissful and completely spontaneous.
I have written two poetry books: Dawning Fires -108 poems and Wind Songs-150 poems
The Voice of Silence
Life from Love is Born
Within the hushed and melting stillness of heaven’s folded wings the stirring of the heart brings to birth the ocean’s swelling waves and life from love is born
The Melting Veil of Time
Gently touch the melting veil of time as it dissolves into the sea of nothingness Gently cross the stream of incandescent dreams as you step into the ocean of pure existence Gently move from the narrow confines of the ever-changing domain into the boundless region of the divine Move in silence as you enter the sacred temple of His Being to ever-dwell in eternal harmony with the author of the universe
Caravans
Caravans and wind and spaceÂ
dark blue space
like willows
like streaming rivers
naked spaceÂ
alive with power
caravans clouds and sand
grains of gold
upon the banks of the seaÂ
lining the sky with light
so much lightÂ
and caravans
morning and eveningÂ
passing through the light
caravans and windÂ
and dark blue infinite spaceÂ
Alone
Because I stood alone
amidst the emptiness of space
and beheld your beauteous form
cast against the sky
because my heart knew you
majestic divine
knew the dance that you dancedÂ
in that twilight hour
because I can no longer move outside
the circle of your infinite light
because my heart has been uplifted
and my eyes
washed with visions of stars
you have become the universe to me
and all that I touch quivers with your life
A Moment Only
I saw you
for a moment only
entered your world
and it became our world
and for a moment only
we touched and breathed as one
and now I must return
and walk againÂ
upon familiar hills and dream
I dream of you
of the space that became infinite through you
