A multi-colored tapestry, an ever-changing drama of decorated characters arrayed in the roles assigned to them at birth. Their multifarious activities begin and end with lines imprinted in their mind before the curtain opens. We behold them and listen to their words which at times inspire, soothe, bless, startle, disturb, hurt or even puncture the fragile web of life. We must stand back and only witness the opening and closing of the curtain so as not to be overwhelmed by the unending drama unfolding before our eyes. The scenes are always changing. The characters are impermanent vestiges of time. They come and go. Their costumes change with the rotating seasons of their lives. At times we are forced to witness the harsh realities they portray but we should not be overwhelmed. We may wish to shield our eyes from the painful drama so the dark shadows of gloom do not invade our mental landscape. We must know that the darkness does not last. The rising light of dawn always appears illumining the stage of life with new vigor, hope, love and joy. When one scene ends, a new one begins. We can only faithfully act out our designated role and seek to always utter words that uplift and heal and act with the fullness of love and goodwill for all.
