Government: A Mirror of the Nation

Every government is a reflection of the collective consciousness of the nation. Collective consciousness is the expression of the consciousness of all the individuals in the nation. It can only reflect what is presented to it. If the collective consciousness in the nation is disorderly, unstable and incoherent, the decisions of the government will reflect the same quality of incoherence. This is the reason that the leaders of a nation are usually unable to fulfill the pledges they make when they are elected into office. The incoherence in the nation has a dragging influence on their ability to enact positive changes. Every leader of a government is like a puppet governed by the collective consciousness in the nation. Although the leaders’ ideals are laudable, their power to produce concrete results is limited.
