Barbara Ann Briggs is a poet, novelist, speaker and teacher of Transcendental Meditation whose work bridges East and West through the lens of spiritual awakening. Her debut novel, Pilgrimage on the Path of Love, draws from her years of inner exploration and time spent in India, blending lyrical storytelling with deep mystical insight. A lifelong seeker and practitioner of meditation, Barbara invites readers to journey inward—where the true pilgrimage begins.
With over forty years of meditation experience and a background in philosophy and curriculum development, she has dedicated her life to helping others awaken their highest potential through inner stillness and self-discovery.
A graduate of New York University, Barbara has taught philosophy, poetry, art, and Vedic science in the United States, the United Kingdom, and India. Her deep immersion in the teachings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and the Vedic tradition has shaped her unique perspective on the creative process — one that blends ancient wisdom with modern insight.
Barbara is the author of The Contribution of Maharishi’s Vedic Science to Complete Fulfilment in Life (New Delhi, 2003) and Pilgrimage on the Path of Love (UK, 2016), a visionary novel that received a five-star Readers’ Favorite review for its lyrical depth and spiritual resonance. Her newest work, The Secret of Creative Abundance, offers a transformative look at the wellspring of creativity within each of us — blending science, spirituality, and personal reflection to guide readers back to their inner source of genius.
Whether writing, teaching, or speaking, Barbara’s mission is to inspire others to access the transcendental silence within — the very place where inspiration is born and the soul finds its voice.
