I’m Barbara Ann Briggs—poet, novelist, meditation teacher, and host of the Essence of Life podcast, and the Living Wisdom YouTube channel.
Whether you’re a spiritual seeker, a lover of lyrical prose, or someone yearning for deeper meaning, I’m honored to have you here. I have lived in India for over twenty years blending spiritual practice with literary expression. I am devoted to sharing spiritual insight through storytelling, reflection, and the power of presence.
My mission is to inspire others to access the transcendental silence within and to unfold deeper layers of knowledge of the Self. The experience of the Self can be gained easily and effortlessly through the practice of Transcendental Meditation by transcending the surface, active level of the mind. The Self is the experience of pure consciousness, the very source of thought. Pure consciousness is an unbounded field of bliss, creativity, intelligence and energy. It is the very substratum of life itself.
